Jason's role typically spans from early-stage concept development to overseeing the entire creative process, ensuring we meet our objectives from start to finish.

He is a conceptual storyteller who thrives at the intersection of film and design, propelled by a passion for creative excellence. His professional journey spans 22 years, deeply rooted in the advertising industry of Los Angeles. An Art Center alumnus with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, Jason has honed his craft and vision in various realms including gaming, entertainment, technology, and advertising.

Jason shines brightest when involved from the inception of a project, sculpting the strategy and positioning of creative concepts before bringing them to life through meticulous execution. Jason’s approach is strategic and precise, making him an asset in both defining solutions for specific challenges and steering long-term projects and teams toward success in larger engagements.

Good ideas and compelling narratives are the driving forces behind Jason’s work. His love for all mediums of expression underpins his technique-agnostic philosophy. Whether working with Motion Design, Animation, live action, VFX, or a blend of these, Jason believes every creative decision must be deliberate, always serving the grand vision and message of the project.

With a Telly, ADC, and ProMax BDA among his accolades, Jason’s directorial acumen in live-action commercials is well-recognized. He is not only dedicated to the creative process but also committed to empowering teams and artists to produce their finest work. Jason’s leadership and collaborative spirit have made him a celebrated figure in the creative community.

My Process

My approach begins with a thorough understanding of the project through an initial creative brief. This involves active listening to the client's needs, clarifying messaging points, and understanding the background and story of the brand.

Once the groundwork is laid, the detective work begins. This stage is about deep-diving into research—be it the brand, intellectual property, or other relevant areas—to fully understand and pull on the right threads.

The ideation phase involves generating initial story ideas and visual references, using tools like Generative AI to quickly form a vision. I then synthesize all insights, ideas, and visuals into a cohesive treatment, aligning closely with the project's goals.

The final phase involves assembling the right team, establishing production goals, and moving into production.

TRANSLATING MULTI-PRONGED STRATEGY INTO CREATIVE EXCELLENCE

We helped develop and execute a high fidelity game cinematic in Unreal Engine that featured the different characters in their own vignettes.
Ghosts of Ruin is a fresh new anime series IP that delves into a not so distant future where gamers actually enter games through advanced neural technology. The series explores a world in which something sinister is happening inside the machine and hurting players in our reality. A ghost perhaps? We crafted this teaser trailer to build hype around the project and help get the word out in the Gala Films community. This was a massive effort with a ton of animators and designers, and environment and layout artists. Our team helped develop the early look of the show from characters to the actual environments as well.
To help announce the partnership of Riot Games and Xbox, we helped develop, design, and produce a cinematic campaign that featured all of the hero game characters and fan favorites in one spot. We modeled dynamic poses of the heroes and placed them on unique pedestals built of crystals and volcanic rock. They were juxtaposed against giant screens that featured projected game footage and a bespoke animated typographic system for messaging. Besides the main spot, we also created unique game IP branded versions to round out the campaign.
