Background / Bio
Joe brings over 2 decades of experience in motion design & art direction with a focus on films & series. His career began at the SyFy channel where he crafted motion graphics for high-priority promo campaigns. This eventually led him to go freelance at several NYC motion design studios working on commercial advertisements & network projects. A few years later he fell in love with cinematic film design; designing & animating titles, story-driven sequences, archival treatments, and VFX shots.
Today he has worked on 30+ documentary-style films/series that can be seen on Netflix, Apple+, Hulu, Max, Prime, Disney+, Paramount+, Vice, ESPN, & ABC. Some of these films were nominated for or won awards and at The Sports Emmys, MTV Movie Awards, Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca & other festivals.
He’s been very fortunate to work with highly talented film directors like Antoine Fuqua, Ryan White, Amy Berg, Josh Greenbaum & Max Joseph.

My Process
The process begins with a discussion of the project's tone, scope, and deliverables with the director/producer. A moodboard is created for approval, ensuring the direction aligns with the client's vision. Styleframes for key elements are developed and, once approved, design and animation commence.
Final touches are added before delivery. The approach is creative, efficient, and scalable, emphasizing exceptional design, problem-solving, and team management to meet the client's needs.

My role was to create animated chapter titles, motion design sequences, & main on end titles & credits.
