Bio / Background
Sean began his academic journey in fine art, specializing in painting and sculpture, at the Art Institute in Denver before shifting his focus to graphic design. He became involved in the dot-com boom in San Francisco, honing his skills on interactive flash sites.
Seeking new horizons, Sean moved to France and gradually transitioned into animation, eventually dedicating himself entirely to motion design. His career next took him to New York City, where he freelanced for renowned studios such as Buck, BNS, Gretel, Imaginary Forces, and The Mill. Sean's directorial talents were recognized and represented at Nathan Love for a period before he relocated to Richmond, Virginia, to take on the role of Executive Creative Director at Hue & Cry, later becoming a partner.
After two or three years, Sean returned to the freelancing world as a Creative Director before joining Buck full-time in the same capacity. He spent two and a half years at Buck and then circled back to freelancing, collaborating with high-profile agencies like Oddfellows, Trollback, and Dress Code, among others.

Three thirty second spots that channeled the fun and expected voice of the Harry’s brand. Each spot used a mix of live action and animation to showcase a unique reason to buy and featured an animated version of the each live-action hero.
Creative Directed this series of animations with my Buck fam. The ask was to celebrate each McDonalds menu item. Each delightful reveal both framed and placed the item on a pedestal - the Royale with Cheese treatment.
UW Health wanted a collection of moving paintings to bring the idea to life and partnered with the one and only Buck to tell some poignant stories that encapsulate the experiences of some of their patients. As Creative Director, I worked with an all-star team (miss you guys) to tell the story of three patients using a painterly collage style we developed to deliver on the Masterpiece promise.
