Background / Bio
Ryan has been immersed in the world of film and design for over 25 years, refining his craft with each project. He has the blessing (and curse) of directing and creative directing his own work. So you're stuck with him from the first pitch call to the final conform. (he apologizes in advance).
Throughout his career, Ryan has shot, written, designed, and animated commercials for top clients including Nike, HBO, Verizon, McDonald’s, Google, Meta, Budweiser, and Subway. A multi-disciplinary creative, Ryan has concepted diverse projects, from TVC campaigns for Cheerios to retail rollouts for Nike. He has experienced both sides of the brief, working as both vendor and client. His style is a blend of techniques—live-action, stop-motion, CG, cel, and mograph—whatever best serves the story.
Ryan enjoys writing scripts, believing that the story begins on the page. He loves shooting food commercials because they are straightforward, and directing children, who he says "excel at pretending better than adults".

My Process
Every project starts with a written plan and storyboards outlining the job scope. These storyboards are then translated into key visuals for production, followed by post-production, varying by technique (live, cel, CG, hybrid, etc).
Throughout, I create a collaborative deck for clients and our creative team to share progress, ideas, and comments. This dynamic diary supports the organic nature of creative development, encouraging continuous improvement throughout the project's schedule.
